Microsoft has released an update for Internet Explorer which causes conflicts with other Microsoft modules
With the Internet Explorer ActiveX Update KB912945 Microsoft has released a so-called “non-security update”. This optional update prevents that ActiveX Controls - like IsoView - are activated automatically. Instead, the user must activate such a control manually with a mouseclick to allow further interaction.
Microsoft has published a detailed description how to embed controls and avoid manual activation: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/dhtml/overview/activating_activex.asp
This update, however, is causing a conflict with the Microsoft Foundation Class Library (MFC) DLL which is also used by IsoView. After having updated a page with IsoView (e.g. by clicking the refresh button in Internet Explorer), the user may witness a crash.
We are currently in contact with Microsoft who are making an effort to find a quick solution for this problem.
Until this problem has been fixed, however, we recommend NOT TO INSTALL the update KB912945.
