Today we are providing you with information regarding the Microsoft Internet Explorer ActiveX Update. This update concerns all customers that utilize IsoCompose for the creation of interactive spare parts catalogs.

Background
Microsoft is expected to release an update on April 11 which will essentially affect the handling of all ActiveX Controls. Further information is available here.

Since the IsoView technology is used in catalogs that were created with IsoCompose, this update also concerns these catalogs.

IsoCompose Update
We will provide an update for IsoCompose within the next days which allows to generate catalogs according to the Microsoft recommendation. It will then be necessary to generate all catalogs new. An exchange of single pages will not be possible.

We would like to point out that this is not a software error. The changes in the behavior of IsoView as well as of other viewers were deliberately enforced by Microsoft for patent reasons.
