With version 6.2.01 we have just released a new maintenance update for IsoDraw and IsoDraw CADprocess. Read on to learn more about the main changes and enhancements....
Enhanced CATIA IGES Import
The ITEDO development team has improved the IGES import with the current maintenance update of IsoDraw CADprocessin order to support the import of component names. IGES files that were created with CATIA V5 R16 can now contain the names of the components as opposed to earlier versions of CATIA V5. Prior to CATIA V5 R16, all components were shown in the object window with the name "SUBFIGURE DEFINITION". IsoDraw CADprocess 6.2.01 processes the component names and displays them in the Objects window.
Extended Memory Use through IsoDraw CADprocess
Working with large volume design data, some of our customers exceeded the memory limit of their Windows operating system.
The ITEDO development team has addressed this with some enhancements that allow IsoDraw CADprocess to access more memory while performing complex operations.
Specific parameters in the operating system ("IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE" flag) can be set to raise the threshold to 3 GB of RAM . The main requirement for this is the installation of 4 GB RAM.
These operating systems are supported:
- Windows Server 2003 family
- Windows XP Professional Edition
- Windows 2000 Datacenter Server
- Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Windows NT Server 4.0 Enterprise Edition
Please note: The above mentioned settings do affect the installation of the Windows OS. We strongly recommend to have your System Adminstrator apply the appropriate changes
Further Changes since Version 6.1.04:
- CGM: added support for profile "WebCGM 2.0"
- CGM: added support for profile "ATA GREXCHANGE V2.10"
- CGM export: fixed issue when exporting raster elements
- 3D: improved display of perspective view
- Updated documentation for macro language
- An error occured when converting very large files from 2D to 3D which has now been fixed.
