Intelligent linking of the information in an electronic catalog is a major time saving benefit that does not exist in a paper issue.
When the user clicks with the mouse pointer on an entry in the parts list, the corresponding part should be displayed in the illustration. If the user clicks on a part in the illustration, he should be led to the corresponding text information.
An area that can be clicked with the mouse in order to induce an action is called a hotspot. The connection to the target is called a link. When you click on a hotspot with the mouse pointer, the link to its target is executed.
