When providing your files for data exchange, pay attention to the functions you applied for the creation of your illustrations.
Your graphic software provides many functions that you effectively use to create your illustrations. Note, however, that several other programs do not equally support all of these functions! If you, for example, use masking functions which cause that only particular areas of elements are shown in your illustration, it might happen that the complete element reappears after export to other file formats because the target format does not support this function.
It is recommended that you do some tests regarding the functions you use in due time, in order to avoid a loss of quality in your publications. This assures that you can build up your illustrations without losing anything during export.
