JPEG for on-screen presentations and websites

JPEG files exported from IsoDraw are automatically saved in RBG mode. This mode is ideally suited for on-screen presentations or websites. However, RGB is not suitable for the prepress stage in the printing process.

RGB color space
The RGB color space contains three color channels - red, green and blue. RGB colors are also known as the colors of light. Colored light is created by a mixture of the three primary colors - red, green and blue. Screens, scanners and digital cameras also create color by emitting red, green and blue light.

RGB picture

Every color is split into brightness levels and there are generally 256 of these. 0 means no light, i.e. black. 256 is the highest light intensity, i.e. white. Colors are created from an unequal mix of the primary colors, whereas grays contain an equal mix of the three primary colors.
