TIFF

is the abbreviation for Tagged Image File Format.

This designation refers to the internal structure of the file, which uses tags in order to store all the information about an image.

TIFF is the standard format for image processing. It is possible to store scanned images as TIFF files and edit them later with a wide range of programs. TIFF is a pure pixel-based format, i.e. when exporting to TIFF, all the elements drawn in IsoDraw are converted into a raster image.

This format was developed by the Aldus Corporation and has since been upgraded by several new versions. The large number of different variants often makes it difficult to use these files in other programs, as the number of defective files increases with each new variant.
