IsoDraw can also work in a "native" CGM mode which means that files are always kept in CGM format without converting from one format to another. Besides all versions of CGM, ITEDO also supports mandatory industry profiles which are based on CGM such as J2008 (automotive), ATA (Air Transport Association) and CALS (defense).

IsoDraw also supports WebCGM, a standard of the W3C organization for usage of vector graphics on the Internet. ITEDO did contribute as a founding member of CGM Open in the definition of this important standard. By using standards, corporations gain many advantages. Independence over the entire lifecycle of their products will be achieved. In addition, exchange of data between different application environments will be ensured.
