Leonardo ATA iSpec 2200 for IsoDraw further extends the functionality and the productivity of the worldwide leading technical illustration software from ITEDO Software. It provides an environment well suited to the specifications of the ATA Standards (Graphics Style Standards, CGM data format), and to even more precise context in accordance with the ATA Standards, such as the Airbus A380 major aircraft program.

A working environment compliant with the ATA Standards requirements
Leonardo ATA iSpec 2200 helps you to conform to the rules and constraints set by the ATA Standards. For instance, the number of allowed page formats is restricted and the setting of an Illustration Sheet Identifier must follow precise rules. Leonardo ATA iSpec 2200 creates a working environment in which the line styles, the text format, the colors or all the graphics attributes are limited to the Standards' prerequisites. When you create an illustration, you are driven through an initialization process which allows to define the type of illustration to be done and subsequently load the corresponding "style sheet".

Speeded up and efficient illustration process
Leonardo ATA iSpec 220 provides a set of intelligent functions that will speed up the various illustration tasks and data processing functions that are specific to the context of the ATA Standards or more precise contexts such as those related to the Airbus A380. For instance, the creation of identifiers or visualization elements (directional arrows, sections, etc) is just a question of two mouse clicks.

When setting the View Identifiers, the first "not assigned" value is proposed by default . Whenever relevant, efficiency is further improved with a context-sensitive mode of operation. As an example, with the Airbus A380 profile, you are automatically driven through specific routines depending on the type of technical illustration context: Generic, ASM (Aircraft Schematic Manuals) & AWM (Aircraft Wiring Manuals), OPS (Flight Operation Support Manuals).

Automated and simplified creation of electronic navigation metadata
ATA is the most advanced standards working group worldwide in terms of intelligent interactive graphics for use in electronic documents such as IETMs (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals) or spare parts catalogs. Leonardo ATA iSpec 2200 simplifies and speeds up the definition processes of the metadata associated to graphical elements for electronic navigation such as Hotspots or ViewContexts. For instance, the associated metadata is automatically defined when the graphical element is created.

Validated data and easy data export
Because error manipulations cannot be totally avoided, Leonardo ATA iSpec 2200 gives you access to an illustration validation function which verifies styles and ensures graphical attributes are correctly used as per the Standards requirements and stores invalid elements in a log file.

Once the work is done and validated, data can be delivered in a data format compliant with the ATA iSpec2200 Standards: CGM V4 with GRExchange 2.9 profile (graphics file and associated .cmp companion file). Moreover, Leonardo ATA iSpec 2200 offers the support for particular variants of the data format (ex: Airbus A380 profile).
