At the end of May Granthams, the UK distributor of ITEDO products, staged a series of 3 roadshows featuring the new version of CADprocess.

The audiences for these seminars mainly consisted of technical publications people already familiar with IsoDraw and the previous version of CADprocess. Many industry sectors were represented by the participants, all with the commonality that they were working with 3D CAD systems. Also a number of service providers were present who had customers that wished to use their CAD data for documentation. The general consensus following the presentations was that CADprocess 2 is a major leap forward in the processing of 3D CAD data. The ability to work with very large CAD files more effectively has answered many of needs of the illustrator.

The presentation was split into 2 sessions: in the first the new functions of CADprocess2 were demonstrated. The audience were impressed and in some cases surprised at the new levels of functionality possible with CADprocess 2. The second session enabled the delegates to see their own files tested live. This proved to be a great success with majority of files opening correctly, testimony to the quality of the filters developed by ITEDO. The results of the processed files were forwarded to the delegates via email following the presentations.

The introduction of CADprocess 2 so quickly after the groundbreaking first version proves the demand to process 3D CAD data is growing and the motivation to leave the specialist task in the hands of technical illustrators is still strong.
